South Dakota born Doris Hinkley Lockerman (1910-2011) was a famous Atlantan in her own right as long time newspaper editor and writer who, in her youth, had been secretary to Melvin Purvis, the famous FBI agent in charge of the Chicago office who personally led the shootouts that stopped John Dillinger and Pretty Boy Floyd.
