Written by John William Charles Wand (a prominent Anglican bishop and theologian in the 20th century) "A History of the Modern Church" is an account of the church from 1500 and the beginning of the Reformation to modern times. It traces the rise of many attitudes towards life, conceptions of the faith, and ecclesiastical systems throughout the centuries.

Hardcover in rough condition. The boards and spine are intact, but the previous owner's cats have chewed on one corner. Some moderate underlining and penciled notes are scattered throughout the interior pages. This is the 7th edition published in 1952.
